Cooper Union is a Battlefield.

This is the lesson that we learned after four semesters in the school.

Students strive for A's but they most likely have to settle for B's or even C's. We want to convey this message through our arcade game project, CooperStrike. Students will be able to

immerse themselves in this interactive one versus one game and relieve the stresses that they face throughout the academic year. Our goal is to incorporate the elements of a kinetic sculpture into a fun and interactive shooting arcade game that everyone will be able to play.

The game is meant to be played by two players standing on opposite sides of the machine, with each of them having control over a laser gun and a blowgun. The laser gun will emit red light from a laser diode. The blowgun will propel pingpong balls upward in an effort to prevent the opponent from hitting the target. On each player’s side, there will be four photoelectric sensors plastered to the wall. Points will be accumulated when these sensors are hit by laser. The player that accumulates 25 points first will be declared the winner.
